Test an urgent request with incomplete fitment information, an approved substitute, a partial delivery and a later core return. Have the normal counter, warehouse and finance staff complete the sequence. Acceptance should prove item identity, remaining commitments and traceable decisions rather than relying on an experienced employee to remember how the exception should work.
Understand the decision
The workshop is waiting for a vehicle to leave the bay, so the temptation is to ship the nearest available reference. Include that pressure in the rehearsal along with a changed collection instruction. The exercise should show where staff may proceed and where a missing decision still requires escalation.
Work through the requirements
- Rehearse urgent selection and dispatch
- Introduce a fitment or quantity change
- Close the customer and core balances
| Record or decision | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Workshop test order | Defines the requested repair-related supply |
| Dispatch decision trail | Records accepted changes and releases |
| Core balance check | Confirms the later obligation remains visible |
What would a passing test show?

Watch for this failure
A quick counter transaction is not proof that the complete parts workflow is ready. Include the delayed core and unresolved fitment decision so the launch test covers obligations that continue after the replacement part has left the building.
Continue the evaluation
This example defines what to verify, rather than promising a particular Odoo feature. Keep a record of the demonstrated result, configuration, unresolved gaps and person who accepts it.
