Rehearse a mixed sale, a corrected measured quantity, a gift assortment, a customer return and end-of-day waste. Include the actual proposed devices and normal cashier permissions. Acceptance should reconcile the customer receipt, stock quantities and payment totals, with clear escalation for missing product information or an untrusted measurement result.
Understand the decision
A busy market day brings queues, changing displays and unfamiliar temporary staff. Use those constraints in the rehearsal without inventing a throughput promise. A useful test shows whether staff can recognize an exception and obtain help while retaining the evidence needed to complete or reverse the transaction correctly.
Work through the requirements
- Use representative products and counter equipment
- Introduce a correction and missing-data exception
- Close payments stock and waste together
| Record or decision | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Trading-day test pack | Defines mixed sale and waste scenarios |
| Device verification | Records observed measurement and label results |
| Daily reconciliation | Explains sales returns and stock changes |
What would a passing test show?
Use these hypothetical cases in a demonstration. Mark the evidence you have reviewed, then download the checklist. Selections stay in this tab.
Watch for this failure
A fast demonstration with familiar products can hide the difficult decisions. Include temporary staff, a corrected quantity and a device exception so the evidence reflects the real checkout and close process, not only a practiced presenter.
Continue the evaluation
This example defines what to verify, rather than promising a particular Odoo feature. Keep a record of the demonstrated result, configuration, unresolved gaps and person who accepts it.
