THE DIRECT ANSWER

Define the authoritative system for service requests, visit status, equipment identity and parts availability before connecting existing tools. A call-centre update should not overwrite a technician's completed visit without review. Use stable job references and a visible exception queue so failed transfers do not disappear into separate systems.

Understand the decision

Some HVAC teams retain specialist dispatch, supplier ordering or monitoring tools while moving commercial records into Odoo. A temperature alert is not automatically a billable work order, and a supplier stock feed is not the same as stock physically available in a service vehicle.

Work through the requirements

  1. Assign ownership to each shared field.
  2. Define alert-to-job approval rules.
  3. Reconcile transfer failures each day.

Watch for this failure

A successful connection test proves little about event order or conflicting updates. Rehearse duplicate alerts, delayed messages and changed equipment references before relying on the integration to coordinate urgent calls across the business.

This example defines what to verify, rather than promising a particular Odoo feature. Keep a record of the demonstrated result, configuration, unresolved gaps and person who accepts it.
