THE DIRECT ANSWER

Rehearse a late return, inspection hold, approved asset replacement and the next customer pickup within one connected scenario. Include accessories and any reviewed commercial adjustment. Acceptance should prove that booking staff can see the real readiness state and manage the affected commitment without silently overriding an unavailable asset or losing the first customer’s outstanding obligation.

Understand the decision

The most revealing test starts when the first customer extends use while the next customer expects collection. A calendar-only demonstration may hide that conflict. Use normal booking and yard roles to resolve it, with the responsible reviewer controlling readiness and the commercial owner approving customer changes.

Work through the requirements

  1. Create adjacent bookings for the same capacity
  2. Introduce late return and inspection exceptions
  3. Reconcile both customer commitments after resolution

Watch for this failure

A free interval on a calendar does not prove operational availability. Acceptance should include late returns and inspection outcomes, and it should not rely on an administrator removing a hold simply to make the next reservation appear possible.
