Confirm the rental period, intended asset or asset category, required accessories and the business’s release conditions before pickup. Distinguish the reservation from actual handover and record the unit supplied. The test should show that a late asset substitution receives the necessary review and that the customer’s booking, physical equipment and agreed documents remain consistent.
Understand the decision
A customer books a category of equipment, but the originally planned unit is unavailable when they arrive. Another unit has different accessories or preparation needs. The review should expose the decision needed before release without implying that a calendar reservation itself proves the equipment is ready or suitable.
Work through the requirements
- Confirm booking and release requirements
- Identify the actual unit and accessories
- Record the approved handover evidence
| Record or decision | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Rental booking | Defines period and commercial instruction |
| Asset handover | Identifies the unit actually supplied |
| Accessory checklist | Records included equipment and components |
What would a passing test show?
Use these hypothetical cases in a demonstration. Mark the evidence you have reviewed, then download the checklist. Selections stay in this tab.
Watch for this failure
A reserved category does not establish the condition of a particular asset. Keep pickup evidence tied to the unit actually supplied, and leave safety, suitability and preparation decisions with the responsible people rather than an assumed booking-system guarantee.
Continue the evaluation
This example defines what to verify, rather than promising a particular Odoo feature. Keep a record of the demonstrated result, configuration, unresolved gaps and person who accepts it.
