Rehearse a factory acceptance with both passed checks and unresolved items, then make the shipment decision explicit. Preserve the machine identity, test evidence and responsibility for remaining work. The process should distinguish a customer-approved conditional shipment from full acceptance, including which documentation and follow-up obligations remain open after the machine leaves the factory.
Understand the decision
For a hypothetical rehearsal, a machine passes its main operating test but needs a replacement guard label and an updated drawing pack. The customer accepts shipment subject to those items. The team must show the approved conditions at dispatch and retain ownership of the documentation still owed after delivery.
Work through the requirements
- Record each test result and remaining item.
- Approve shipment conditions with the authorized parties.
- Assign outstanding work and verify its later closure.
| Record or decision | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Acceptance record | Connect results to the machine identity. |
| Open-item list | Assign remaining work and due dates. |
| Shipment approval | State the agreed conditions of release. |
What would a passing test show?
Use these hypothetical cases in a demonstration. Mark the evidence you have reviewed, then download the checklist. Selections stay in this tab.
Watch for this failure
A single completed checkbox can conceal the difference between acceptance and permission to ship. Test that users can understand the remaining obligations without reopening informal correspondence, and that shipment does not automatically erase unfinished customer commitments.
Continue the evaluation
This example defines what to verify, rather than promising a particular Odoo feature. Keep a record of the demonstrated result, configuration, unresolved gaps and person who accepts it.
