Rehearse a store sale, a recurring food order, a customer pause, a shortage decision and a damaged return using the proposed connected systems. Acceptance should reconcile product identity, customer instructions, payment events and physical dispatches. Include an unresolved dietary substitution request so staff demonstrate the boundary between operational assistance and decisions they are not authorized to make.
Understand the decision
A repeat customer calls while the store is busy and asks staff to change the next delivery. The warehouse may already be preparing the current one. The test should distinguish those cycles and preserve the customer’s decision without relying on a clerk’s memory or an informal message.
Work through the requirements
- Test current and future cycles separately
- Introduce a pause shortage and return
- Review customer instructions and dispatch evidence
| Record or decision | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Retail recurrence test | Combines store and repeat-order cases |
| Customer decision record | Preserves approved product and schedule changes |
| Cycle reconciliation | Explains payment and fulfilment outcomes |
What would a passing test show?
Use these hypothetical cases in a demonstration. Mark the evidence you have reviewed, then download the checklist. Selections stay in this tab.
Watch for this failure
A working repeat-order button does not prove that staff can manage exceptions responsibly. Include cycle boundaries and product-substitution decisions so the launch evidence covers what happens when customers change instructions or the preferred item is unavailable.
Continue the evaluation
